Sunday in the restaurant with no money
I turned up at McDonalds this morning to use their WiFi, and realised that I had left my money bag, wallet and credit cards behind. Fortunately we had some filled loyalty cards for free drinks, andwe found a few coins and a £5 note in the computer bags. So it's coffee and cookies to fuel today's work load.
I'm a VIP member on the Nmae Pros domain board, and this allows me to ask for some professional name valuations. I've owned OXFD.com since 2002, and I've never used it. Maybe now is the time to pass it on to someone who can put it to a good commercial use. I've asked for an appraisal, and we;ll see what advice I get.
I picked up WiredDrones.com yesterday. WhenI saw this onthe lists, I thought it was a pretty useless name. All the drones that I've seen have been free flying. However, after a bit of research, I discovered that there are a number of wired drones being manufactured and sold for security purposes. It looks as if this might be a useful name in a developing niche.
I had a bit of money in Bitcoin before the last fork in the blockchain, so I have some free Bitcoin cash that I can claim. I'll need to work out the best way to do this, but I'm tempted to install a Bitcoin Csh node on my netbook, and claim the coins there. I can then look for a registrar that will accept Bitcoin Cash to pay for some new registrations. If that works, I might start accepting Bitcoin Cash in payment for a few domains names. It won't be too difficult to set up a node, as I already have the full Blockchain on a hard disk, and I can copy that onto an SSD for the Bitcoin Cash node.
