Today is another 6am start, and I've just spent an hour reading emails and making a few forum posts. I looked at the traffic stats for The Name Stag, and it's quite encouraging - the daily stats are still down in the mid-double digits, but I seem to be getting a few re-visits. Thanks to those of you whothink that my musings are worth reading, and I'll try to add some content every day. Please feel free to add some comments, and help me to find a direction for the site. I had a nice PM from a guy on Name Pros who asked me about my idea for using sub-domains in server stats to sell domain names. I'll try to formalise my thoughts on this, and add a page to one of the permanent collections here.
I checked my pending payments in my Name Silo marketing account, and I've got 3 that are ready for release. I want to take those in Bitcoin, so now I have to decide on the short-term trend in the price of Bitcoin. I think the long term trend is up, but the next fork is going to create a bit of variation over the next few days, and I'm undecided whether to grab the coins now, or to wait for a retreat aftedr the recent rise.
I decided that I ought to stop registering new names, and to spend some time creating landing pages, and developing some of the political sites that I have planned. I'm way behind with my Brexit site, and the deep state's reaction to the activities in Catalonia are very relevant to the future of Britain's freedom from the Keiser Reich. Whoops! that's a politically incorrect statement, but then I've always got myself into trouble by being a bit outspoken. I did allow myself a few minutes to scan an expired list, and I put a $1 bid on a name that expires shortly. Well that was disappointing, I must have missed that by a matter of seconds, somebody else has grabbed it.
After that disappointment, I thought I'd have a quick look in the drop lists. I filtered the results with the following conditions -
- Only .coms
- No hyphens or numbers
- Dropped within the last 24 hours
- Maximum length of 15 characters.
Then I sorted the list into descending CPC values, and I saw one with a value of $11.64 . the name is No Fee Solicitor. Solicitor is an English term, and " no win, no fee" is just getting established over here. The name seemed to be worth reg fee, so, at the moment, I'm quite pleased to have found it. I've got no idea of its potential value, so that will require a bit of research, in the meantime I can always list it as "make an offer".
It's lunchtime, and I've just opened my emails to discover that the $1 name has been transferred to me. I wonder what happened there! I guess I will never know, and will have to be content with getting the name for $1. The name is Loan Bio.com , and I thought it would be a great name for providing advice on completing loan application forms. I know several people who have a real struggle over this. Of course it provides a good opportunity to sell loans and mortgages. The name was picked up by somebody else, and who.is reported the details. 3 or 4 hours later, it was removed and given to me. I guess the guy didn't have the money in his account. This is why I always keep a credit of a few hundred dollars so that I can grab the bargains.

Well I missed out by waiting for a dip in the price of Bitcoin. As I want to hold Bitcoin as a long term investment, I might just adopt a policy of buying regardless of the price. I believe it is an appreciating asset, so I may just request payment tomorrow.
